This female adapter allows connection of standard USB Type-A devices and peripherals such as flash drives, keyboards, and mice to USB Type-C enabled devices. The reversible Type-C connector inserts either way without concern for orientation.
The adapter supports data transfer speeds up to 5 Gbps and is certified by USB-IF to comply with the USB 3.1 Gen 1 Standard. It maintains backwards compatibility with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 protocols. Power output reaches 5V at 3 Amp. Type-C ports measure half the width and one-third the height of standard USB-A connectors, making them compact yet slightly larger than Lightning or Micro-USB connections.
